KLBD director offers reassurance after two kosher delis lose licenses
Rabbi Jeremy Conway addressed consumers' concerns after it emerged two kosher businesses sold treyf
The director of the Kosher London Beth Din has sought to reassure consumers following media reports two delis sold treyf.
Both Gough’s Deli in Manchester and Roseman’s Delicatessen in Liverpool drew media coverage last week for losing their kashrut licences.
Rabbi Jeremy Conway wrote in a letter to Jewish News yesterday about the “need for a professional system of inspection and supervision” of kosher products.
The letter, published in full in this week’s issue, offers crucial advice to consumers on how to ensure kosher products are what they claim to be.
“Keeping kosher in smaller communities can be challenging but KLBD will do everything it can to support kosher consumers and facilitate Kashrut observance across the country,” he added.
