Philanthropist Leo Noé has been announced as Kisharon Langdon’s first honorary president, with the co-chairs of the charity praising his “vision, values and unwavering generosity.”

The appointment, effective 1 September, recognises the property tycoon’s decades-long dedication to the learning disability and education sectors, and his deep, personal commitment to the work and values of the communal charity.

As a key supporter since the founding of Kisharon in 1976, Leo Noé has been a pivotal figure in the organisation’s history, serving as a trustee between 1998-2021.

Together with Sue Noé and the Rachel Charitable Trust, he has remained one of its key supporters.

Commenting on his appointment, Leo Noé said: “I have seen first-hand the incredible impact the organisation has on the lives of people with learning disabilities and their families. I deeply value the work being done across education, supported living, employment, and community inclusion, and I am proud to continue supporting the organisation in this role.”

Philip Goldberg and Nick Doffman, co-Chairs of Kisharon Langdon, said: “Leo’s vision, values, and unwavering generosity have helped shape who we are today. His ongoing commitment, not just through generous philanthropy, but through strategic leadership and deep personal engagement, is inspiring. His appointment marks a moment of immense pride for our organisation, and we are profoundly grateful for his support as we look ahead to the future.”

The charity’s chief executive Richard Franklin said: “Leo has been a passionate advocate for people with learning disabilities and autistic people, and a trusted leader within our community. I am thrilled to continue working alongside him in this new capacity. His insight, dedication, and generosity have already made a transformational difference, and we are deeply thankful for his continued belief in our mission.”
