Limmud marks 35th anniversary with chair changeover
Limmud marked its 35th anniversary by honouring outgoing and incoming chairs of the conference, with Labour MP John Mann.
The ‘Changing of the Guard at Global Limmud’ took place in Birmingham, where around 2,800 are gathered for the four day conference of Jewish learning.
Mann, who is head of the All-Party Parliamentary Group against anti-Semitism, saluted outgoing Limmud Chair Kevin Sefton and incoming Limmud Chair David Hoffman.
The meeting took place at the festive launch of “From Vilna Street in Vishnyeva to President’s Street in Jerusalem,” an exhibit at the conference highlighting the life and times of Shimon Peres.
The exhibit was conceived by Limmud FSU (former Soviet Union) Founder and Director Chaim Chesler and curated by Yoram Dori.
