Lions had enough chances to win the game with efforts from Max Kyte and Jake Furman, but conceded late on after a scramble in the box.
Manager Andy Landesberg said: “I’m disappointed more with the performance as we knew what sort a game we would be in for, the pitch was difficult and opposition came to stop us but the lads will have to get used to it as we don’t get to play at Rowley Lane every week. I’m glad this happened early in the season and we can learn from this.
“The focus now turns to Evergreen at home on Saturday where I expect a response. One positive from the match was an excellent performance from Lions Under-18 keeper Josh Tray, he was confident throughout and didn’t put a foot wrong for 90 minutes.”
