London Lions A announce new management team
Former Harmen bosses Ollie Leslie and Joe Marsh to take charge at Rowley Lane.
Maccabi London Lions have announced former Harmen joint-managers Ollie Leslie and Joe Marsh as their new managers.
The pair will take charge of the MGBSFL Premier Division side as the club looks to challenge for silverware in Jewish football.
A club statement said: “We hope to attract a number of players to this squad who have previously played at Lions or under the management of Ollie and Joe in order to achieve this goal.
The club feels it’s very important to support Jewish football and alongside the promotion-winning B team, led by Sam Marchant, the aim is to have two very competitive teams next season going for honours.
“We are delighted to have Sam and his management team on board and wish them every success.”
Chairman Andy Landesberg said: “After being approached by Sam Castle and his team it was an obvious fit with us at MLL. So many players we hope to sign will have at some stage been at Lions before, so it feels good to have them return to the fold.
“This move enables us to create a stronger foundation for Lions and we hope adds strength to the future of the Maccabi GB Southern Football League.”
Leslie said: “The opportunity was too big to turn down. We aim to take Jewish football’s biggest club back to the summit of Sunday football. With the Harmen core and a large pool of players now at our disposal, the next couple of years will be very exciting at Rowley Lane.”
