Man charged with religiously aggravated offence after Stamford Hill anti-Semitic attack
A man accused of threatening Jews near Stamford Hill has been charged with a racially/religiously aggravated offence and will appear in court next month.
The 27-year old was arrested after reports that he was using racist language and making threats to kill two Jewish men while walking on the River Lea towpath in Hackney, east London.
A Shomrim volunteer said: “A male suspect allegedly shouted ‘f***ing Jews’ before walking right up to the victims, threatening them [and saying] “I’ll f***ing kill you” and “I’ll f***ing break your neck.”
The suspect has been released on police bail and is due to appear at Thames Magistrates court on Friday July 3.
