Mark a royal record with our art contest!
Young artists can win an iPad Air by entering Jewish News’ design contest marking the Queen becoming our longest-reigning monarch.
On 9 September she will surpass the record set by Queen Victoria, having been head for state for 63 years and seven months.
Jewish News has joined Partnership for Jewish Schools to launch an art competition, encouraging those aged 17 or under to put pen, pastels or paint to paper to mark the milestone.
The finalists in two age categories, under 12 and 13-17, will be revealed online on the big day before the winners are announced the following day in the newspaper.
Jewish News editor Richard Ferrer said: “We are delighted to mark a huge milestone in our nation’s history while at the same time showcasing the creative talent of our younger readers.”
• Send entries on an A4 sheet of paper to Art Contest, PO Box 34296, London, NW51YW. The closing date is 31 August.
