Mark Regev to assume role of ambassador to UK by March
Incoming Israeli ambassador Mark Regev will arrive to take up his post by March 2016, Benjamin Netanyahu has revealed
It was announced in August 2015, that the Prime Minister’s Foreign Media Spokesman would succeed Daniel Taub as the envoy in Britain.
As a spokesman, he was well known for being a regular feature on TV screens during conflicts, putting Israel’s case on programmes including Newsnight.
Before joining the prime minister’s office in 2007, he spent three years as foreign ministry spokesman.
He has also served at the Israeli embassies in Beijing and Washington.
