Masters football review – week 21
St John's Wood Tigers produced a stirring cup comeback, while the Division One leaders maintained their lead at the top of the table, writes Jeremy Silverstone.
An eight-goal cup thriller and top-of-the-table league clash were the highlights of this week’s Masters League action.

St John’s Wood Tigers fought back from 2-0 down at the break to beat Marshside 5-3 and book their place in the next round of the cup.
Faramarz Moghim and Jason Rich had given Marshside their lead, and although the former scored his second to bring the score back to 3-3, Darryl Lazarus’ double, plus strikes from Grant Morgan, Jason Bentley and John Perloff saw them to the win.
DIVISION ONE:
TABLE
North London Raiders to maintain their lead at the top of the table as goals from Alex Bourne, James Cartmell and Lee Cash saw them to a 3-1 win over HMH, for whom Neil Kochane scored their consolation.
Chigwell kept their title hopes alive thanks to a 4-1 win over Lions A. Adam Stolerman, Daniel Castle and two own goals gave them a 4-0 half-time lead, with Kevin Lotzof scoring a consolation goal for the home side.
DIVISION TWO:
TABLE
EDRS moved up to second spot thanks to a resounding 5-1 win over Temple Fortune. Steve Krieger scored twice, with Darren Coon, Martin Seifert and an own goal completing the scoring. Robert Botkai hit Fortune’s consolation.
