Masters review – Lions roar on with ten-goal win over Marshside

Five goals from Gideon Barnett helped the leaders to the most emphatic win of the season to date, while there was also a first win of the season for Temple Fortune

It’s as you were at the top of the table with Lions’ performance being the stand-out one, as they hit double figures against Masrshside.

DIVISION ONE:

Leaders Maccabi London Lions reinforced their position with a 10-0 win over Marshside. Gideon Barnett scored half the goals, Darren Dryer chipped in with two, with Danny Schindler, Paul Buxton and Ory Halperin also on target.

Hot on its heels are Brady A, who thanks to a Steve Moss double, beat St John’s Wood 4-2. Scott Ansher and Laurence Beck also found the back of the net, with Jonny Feinmesser and Adam Soller strike scoring the host’s consolation goals.

Temple Fortune recorded its first win of the campaign, as they edged out Brady B 4-3. James Ryan and Dean Ingram both score two each, with John Nesbitt’s double and Gary Rose’s strike replying for Brady.
