There’s no pussyfooting around for any ticket-dodging passengers, thanks to the watchful eyes of this well-trained moggy spotted at an Israeli rail station.
In a clear case of putting the cat among the passengers, Mitsi stands guard (or rather sits dutifully on top of the ticket barriers) at the busy station in Petah Tikva, central Israel, ensuring all have paid the correct fare.
Mitsi has now become something of a viral sensation, with the video of the vigilant cat being spread widely on the web.
The only trouble for Mitsi is there’s really no time to take a cat nap while on duty.
Station manager Eli Ifrah said: ‘Most of the passengers are looking after Mitsi, they bring her food and stuff and toys and everything.
‘We really want to find a house for her, a loving house that Mitsi can live there and be happy and play and someone can look after her, the same way we do it here.’
