Moriah teachers celebrate ‘outstanding’ rating for Jewish studies
Jewish school labelled a 'a small school with big dreams' in wake of report by Jewish education inspectors, Pikuach
Teachers at Moriah Jewish Day School in Pinner were celebrating an ‘Outstanding’ rating for Jewish Studies this week, following their latest inspection.
The Pikuach report said the state-aided Orthodox primary was “a small school with big dreams”.
“The content of this report and our overall grading are proof of a dedicated and hardworking team of staff,” said Headteacher Kirsten Jowett. “There are so many positive headlines here.
Inspectors were impressed with the school’s commitment to interfaith work through the Faith and Belief Forum with Guru Nanak School, a Sikh school in the London Borough of Hillingdon.
Moriah is now one of the founding members of the Jewish multi-academy trust JCAT and inspectors noted the positive difference this new structure has made.
