Need summer inspiration? How to dress seasonally with ease
As the owner of two popular north London boutiques, Suzanne Doani shares her expert advice on how to dress seasonally with ease
“For most of us, our holiday is just a small part of summer. The secret is to plan our summer wardrobe to be multifunctional and interchangeable so that we are not buying beautiful clothes to keep in our wardrobe for 50 weeks of the year!
Keep your summer wardrobe light. Layers are the way to go. With the long days and balmy evenings, it’s also practical to get into the desk-to-dark or kids-to-dark mentality and be able to stay cool in the same outfit without feeling the need to rush home and change.
The easy to wear Suzy D range consists of basic essentials that will get you through the summer, stylishly and effortlessly. Our stunning crocheted waistcoat can be worn as a cover up for the beach or with a pair of shorts and vest to pop to the shops.
This is definitely the year of the kaftan and we have a range of the most beautiful colours and patterns that will do the job, whether you are around the pool or out for lunch.
We have taken the classic maxi dress and dressed it up with a silk overlay. Available in four colours, this will be the perfect choice for a balmy holiday night along with some platforms as well as on the school run with some flat sandals.
The secret to the dressing up or down of an outfit is in the accessories and we have everything you need to complete your summer look. We have a stunning range of jewellery and handbags – this year, Suzy D has become known as the first stop for beach bags!
