Israel’s political leaders have wished US president Donald Trump and First Lady Melania a speedy recovery, after they both tested positive for coronavirus and are in quarantine.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin both took to social media to send good wishes, after Trump announced his diagnosis in a tweet in the early hours of Friday, following a positive test from one of his closest aides, Hope Hicks.
Netanyahu said: “Like millions of Israelis, Sara and I are thinking of President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump and wish our friends a full and speedy recovery.”
