Nevo fails to reach 200m butterfly semi-final
Swimmer claims third place finish in heats, but fails to progress to last 16.
Gal Nevo experienced more disappointment in the swimming pool on Monday afternoon after he failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the 200m butterfly event.
While he finished his heat in third place, in a time of 1.58.64, it wasn’t quick enough to qualify for the semi-finals, with him finishing overall in 26th place.
Having also failed to reach the finals of the 400m individual medley, he does though still have a third competition to look forward to, when he takes part in the 200m Individual Medley heats, which take place on Wednesday.
Andrea Murez was meant to take part in the 200m freestyle though was ruled out of the heats through illness.
