New top team at Council of Christians and Jews
A new top team at the Council of Christians and Jews (CCJ) will include a former trustee of the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust and a former director at the Board of Deputies, the organisation says.
Trustees at the interfaith group announced the appointment of Dr Jane Clements as its new director, succeeding Rev David Gifford, while Elizabeth Harris-Sawczenko (pictured) has been appointed as her deputy.
Clements is head of the Forum for Discussion of Israel and Palestine and a member of the Anglican-Jewish Commission, and together with Harris-Sawczenko, will join the interfaith group from mid-July.
