New trailer released for An American Pickle starring Seth Rogen

An American Pickle revolves around Herschel Greenbaum, an immigrant labourer who falls into a huge vat of pickles and emerges 100 years later in modern day New York

Seth Rogen finds himself having a brine old time in his new time-travelling comedy film.

Directed by Brandon Trost and based on the 2013 short story Sell Out by Simon Rich, An American Pickle revolves around Herschel Greenbaum (Rogen), a struggling labourer who immigrates to America in 1920 and dreams of a better life for his family.

But one day, while working in a factory, he falls into a huge vat of pickles and is preserved for 100 years, until finally emerging, alive, in present-
day Brooklyn.

He must piece together a new life, as he finds himself in a time he doesn’t recognise and without any relatives alive except Ben, his computer programmer great-grandson.

An American Pickle is released on HBO next month, with a UK release date expected in the coming months on Sky.
