Jewish News’ Night Of Heroes to honour community’s champions!
Comedian David Walliams to host glittering awards ceremony that will be like nothing Anglo-Jewry has seen before.
Heroes of the Jewish community are to be honoured at a glittering central London awards ceremony like nothing Anglo-Jewry has seen before.
Jewish News’ Night of Heroes – hosted by Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams – will be held next February in association with co-working company LABS, owned by Israeli businessman Teddy Sagi.
In the presence of 400 guests including celebrities, politicians and community leaders, shining stars in the UK and beyond will be honoured in nine categories including interfaith, team, communal initiative, Israel and young hero – with the finalists in each category section celebrated in a film about their exploits.
The night – which will benefit good causes inside and outside the community -will feature entertainment from high-profile acts and will be fuelled by a three-course Food Story dinner.
Justin Cohen, news editor of the Jewish News, said: “We are thrilled to finally lift the lid on something that has been more than two years in the planning. You needn’t look beyond the pages of the Jewish News each week to see that Anglo-Jewry is brimming with heroes – whether one-off acts of bravery, decades of selfless voluntary work or a lifetime of invaluable service.
“Jewish News has always jumped at any opportunity to shine a light on every day heroes but now look forward to celebrating them on the scale and with the pizazz befitting these incredible heroes who have contributed so much to our community, country and the world. We look forward to welcoming the community to our night of nachas.”
Nominations are now open for the next five weeks through our dedicated event website and tickets priced at £100 will go on sale to readers in December.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, 100 percent of ticket sales (minus credit card fees) will be donated by Jewish News to charity, with guests given the opportunity to select a cause to benefit. Uniquely for a communal dinner, there won’t be an appeal on the night.

The Jewish Leadership Council is the first communal partner to be announced for the dinner.
