Nottingham J-Soc pitch in to Save a Child’s Heart
Love may have been in the air last week but, for the University of Nottingham’s generous J-Soc, mending the hearts of children in need of desperate cardiovascular surgery was the only date worth caring about.
Nottingham J-Soc‘s fundraising week for Israeli charity Save a Child’s Heart saw the team selling raffle tickets, hosting a charity pre-drinks party and sitting down to a Valentine’s themed Friday Night Dinner with all proceeds going to cardiac care for children from developing countries.
J-Soc President Jordan Rinsler: “I am so proud of every single committee member for all the incredible hard work they put into the fundraiser for SACH. Also a big thank you to everyone who donated and came along to any of our events. The money is going to a really worthwhile cause and we are delighted to have been a part of that.”
Campaign officers Daniel Pittal, Daniella Dines and Laurie Hirschowitz were also thrilled to have the chance to raise funds for “a very worthy campaign for a very worthy cause that puts all politics aside and is something everyone from all backgrounds can relate to and feel a part of.”
