Olim League week six preview
A mouthwatering clash is scheduled for Saturday night between first place Bambi and second place high risers Modiin. Both teams have the same goal difference of + 9 but Bambi will be going into the encounter 1 point ahead
Modiin’s dangerman Omri Enckaou will be looking to add to his 5 goals in five games, a record that he shares with Bambis dangerman Aviv Zemer. Modiin have home advantage in this game which could be a key factor as they are unbeaten at home but then again Bambi have an unbeaten away record so this could be a real corker.
Only Adi Meituri from Modiin has gone into the Referees book this season, receiving a yellow card twice whereas four players have got cards so far for Bambi including a red card for Aviv Zemer. If Modiin lose and Ashdod win then Modiin could go third.
Yoni Sarig Bambi manager said: “Super hard game on Saturday night. Away game against the second in the table. For sure modiin want to fight and win to conquer the table. We are preparing for this game physically and mentally all week and we are planning to play our game, give all we have got on the pitch. hopefully to come back with 3 points from there. We believe in ourselves and see every game as a league winning game. We understand the importance of this game and hope to eventually make another step towards winning the title at the end of the season”
Modiin manager Jamie Lazarus said: “The Modiin players and management are very much looking forward to this game. We know we are the under dogs, but we have done our homework on MS Bambi and hope that we can come away with a victory.”
