Orthodox community expresses ‘deep shock and horror’ at Hamas atrocities in Israel
The Pinter Trust is the public-facing organisation providing a credible voice for Britain's Charedi Jews
The public-facing organisation representing Britain’s strictly-Orthodox Jews has issued a statement condemning the recent events in Israel.
Writing in support of the Jewish community, the Pinter Trust said:
“We express our deep shock and horror at the recent atrocities perpetrated in Israel. These events have sent shock waves through the entire Jewish community. The aftermath of these terrible incidents has regrettably seen a rise in hate crimes in the UK, which is a cause for extreme concern.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the government for its unwavering support during this period. We also commend the police for their increased patrols and reassurances, which play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our community.
“Many British families find themselves stranded and facing difficulties in returning to the UK due to the current circumstances. We appeal to the Government to provide appropriate support and assistance to these families as they navigate this challenging situation.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by these events in Israel.”
