Pezaro wins Israel’s third Paralympic medal
Swimmer secures country's third bronze medal of Rio Games.
Inbal Pezaro won Israel’s third medal of the Rio Paralympic Games on Thursday evening, when she claimed bronze in the 200IM – SM5 event.
The 29-year-old qualifyied for the final by winning her heat in a time of 3:37.62, the fourth quickest of the two heats, she actually finished a second slower in the the final, but it was still enough to secure her a bronze medal.
One of six events she’s taking part in, her last one – the 100f Fresstyle S5 event, takes place on Saturday
Her win comes after rower Moran Samuel claimed their first medal on Sunday while Doron Shaziri won their second in the rifle event.
