13-year-old Palestinian Abbas described as ‘executed’ shown alive in Israeli hospital
A 13-year-old Palestinian terrorist has been pictured in a Jerusalem hospital – despite Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas claiming he had been “executed in cold blood” by Israel.
Video footage and photographs distributed by the Israeli Government Press Office show school-age Ahmad Manasra – one of two teenage cousins accused of wounding two people, one a boy his age, in a stabbing spree in Jerusalem on Monday – conscious and sitting upright in bed at the city’s Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, in handcuffs.
Manasra was hospitalised after being hit by a car as he attempted to flee police, with his elder cousin Hassan Mansara, 15, shot and killed as he charged police with a knife.
Reports suggest the pair seriously injured a 13-year-old Israeli boy – said by the Prime Minister’s Office to have been riding a bicycle – and a 25-year-old man.
Palestinian officials, as well as members of the Manasra family, have claimed the two cousins were not involved in Monday’s stabbings – one of nearly two dozen terror attacks in the past two weeks.
However, CCTV footage released by Israeli police shows the two terrorists chasing their wounded 25-year-old victim with knives in hand – just moments after stabbing him.
Abbas said last night that Israelis were “executing our boys in cold blood, as they did with the boy Ahmed Manasra”.
In a statement, prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office accused Abbas of spreading “lies and incitement”.
Video clips have shown Manasra fully conscious and in reasonable health, and the deputy head of Hadassah Ein Kerem has said he will “probably” be discharged “in a few days”.
Both victims of the Palestinian’s alleged stabbing attack are still in hospital. The 25-year-old man is in moderate condition, with the 13-year-old boy’s unconscious state said to be serious but not life threatening.
