Police hunt for man after pro-Palestine graffiti sprayed on Labour MP’s office

Police have released an image of a suspect they are looking for after the front of a Labour MP’s office was vandalised with graffiti including the words “Free Palestine” and “No genocide in our name.”
The Met Police said Enfield North MP Feryal Clark’s office was damaged at about 23:00 GMT on 21 November.The force confirmed it believed the graffiti was “racially aggravated”.
CCTV footage has also been released by the force, which shows the man with his hood up and wearing a blue face mask, shortly after the office was defaced.
The Labour MP wrote on X, formerly Twitter, shortly after the incident saying:”The cowards who sprayed graffiti on my office shutters, the police have the cctv footage, and the paint will be removed today. Next time, just try emailing!”
Her now-deleted post included a blobbed image of the vandalism at her constituency office.
The graffiti was sprayed on the building just days after more than 50 Labour MPs defied the party whip and voted for an SNP amendment to the King’s Speech which called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Clark did not attend the vote on 15 November and afterwards she told how was unable to attend Parliament on the day it happened because she was suffering with Covid.
But she said if she was there she would have backed a Labour amendment which called for longer humanitarian pauses in Gaza.
The MP said: “I subsequently tested positive for Covid which meant I was unable to attend Parliament for any work. I cannot imagine anyone wanting this war not to come to an end.”
