Police investigating ‘anti-Semitic’ abuse hurled from car in Stamford Hill
Hackney authorities are treating the alleged abuse as a hate crime, whilst Shomrim have urged victims to report to the police
Victims of a tirade of anti-Semitic abuse shouted from a car in Stamford Hill are being urged to come forward, as police investigate.
Hackney police responded to reports of anti-Semitic abuse in Stamford Hill, which has a sizeable strictly-Orthodox Jewish community.
They were called to Osbaldeston Road, at 9.24pm on 16 May “following reports of a group of males in a car allegedly shouting anti-Semitic remarks to passers by”.
“Police attended and there was no trace of the suspect vehicle which is described as a Vauxhall Vectra.”
“No arrests have been made. A report has been completed and enquiries are underway. This incident is being treated as a hate crime.”
