Police probe Stamford Hill anti-Semitism: ‘Jews move away a bomb is coming’
The local authority was unable to find the suspect, after numerous reports of anti-Semitic abuse.
Police are investigating after a man “unprovokedly threatened a family” with anti-Semitic abuse in Stamford Hill.
The police told Jewish News they were called at 7pm on Sunday 22 May following “numerous calls to a man climbing into back gardens and shouting random remarks.”
They added that “It was reported that some of the comments were of an anti-Semitic nature.”
Neighbourhood watch group Shomrim claimed a white male shouted: “Jews, move away, move away your children, a bomb is coming”, in the area with a large Strictly-Orthodox community.
An investigation has been launched, with Shomrim describing the suspect as having “a metal bar & stick in his hand.. wearing dark Grey short sleeve T-Shirt, blue trousers, shaved head.”
The incident happens at Queen Elizabeth Walk, N16.
