Rampant Redbridge win opener
Redbridge began their season impressive form as they ran out comfortable winners over Harmen.

Heralding a new start and beginning for Redbridge, Jon Jacobs took last year’s ‘B’ team squad and sprinkled it with some seasoned class from the A team of last season for the first game of the season against Harmen.
On the newly laid pitch at Hadley , Redbridge started nervously and conceded a harsh free-kick . A very clever set-piece by Harmen saw James Gershfield net the opener, with just two minutes left on the clock – Redbridge were rocking.
The game settled down and gradually, driven on by Ben Sollosi in the centre of midfield, Redbridge took over. The goal just wouldn’t come with post and bar coming to Harmen’s rescue not least from a thunderbolt of a free-kick by Ryan Cole. With half-time almost upon us, a cross was flighted over and there was Steve Summers to bury it with his head.
One one at half-time and with Redbridge in the ascendancy, they took over straight after half-time as they scored two quick goals. A corner from Ben Sollosi was turned in by Darren Brown and then following a flick from Jordan Sapler, the ball was turned in from a yard out by Scott Oldstein.
Harmen seemed deflated by this and seemed to be more intent on damage limitation than anything else. Summers pulled up with an injury with 20 minutes to go so a tactical switch saw last year’s Young Player of the year, Garfinkle, moved up front and Goldman brought on.
This seemed to have no impact on the momentum of the game and the points were wrapped up by the fourth goal smartly turned in by Daniel Garfinkle.
