Reboot of Gossip Girl announced
Popular teen drama will return eight years after the original series aired
OMG and XOXO: American network HBO Max has announced the reboot of popular teen drama Gossip Girl eight years after the original series came to its explosive conclusion.
Based on the YA books by Cecily von Ziegesar, the reboot reunites creators Josh Schwartz, Joshua Safran and Stephanie Savage.
This week the network teased fans by sharing a photo of new cast members Tavi Genvinson, Whitney Peak, Thomas Doherty, Jordan Alexander, Savannah Smith, Zión Moreno, Eli Brown, Emily Alind, and Evan Mock on Instagram, alongside a one-word descriptor of their characters.

The revamp, like the original series, will revolve around a group of privileged upper-class teens living in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, whose loves, lies and scandals are charted by anonymous blogger ‘Gossip Girl’ (voiced by Kristen Bell).
- Gossip Girl is set to return later this year.
