Record 900 attend KFWE London kosher food and wine showcase
Kedem-hosted event brings Israeli and global kosher producers together in landmark gathering
More than 900 people attended the Kedem Food & Wine Experience (KFWE) London on 17 February, marking the largest turnout in the event’s history as the flagship kosher food and wine showcase returned to the capital.
Held at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane, the annual event brought together members of the Jewish community, hospitality professionals, retailers and international winemakers for a day and evening of celebrating kosher wine, food and connection.
Hosted by kosher wine and spirits importers Kedem Europe, KFWE London featured around 500 wines, spirits and liqueurs from more than 60 producers worldwide. Winemakers and representatives travelled from Israel, Spain, France, Italy, Argentina, California, New York and New Zealand to present their latest releases.
An afternoon trade tasting welcomed sommeliers and buyers from leading UK restaurants and retail groups, many focusing on Israeli wines. Organisers say KFWE has become the only UK event offering such direct access to a broad range of Israeli and international kosher producers in one setting.
The evening public tasting saw a record number of ticket holders fill the ballroom, sampling wines alongside kosher cuisine prepared by Arieh Wagner’s Starguest catering team.
Benjamin Gestetner of Kedem Europe, who organised the event, said: “In gathering to drink wine and eat good food, it was a reminder of the power of the simple but meaningful act of coming together. By the end of the night, guests left smiling, having discovered a new favourite bottles and shared in an experience that was as much about people as it was about wine.”
KFWE London forms part of an international series of kosher wine events, with the London edition increasingly seen as a key meeting point for British Jewry, Israeli producers and the wider hospitality sector.
