Reform Judaism to appoint chief executive to further its mission
The movement, which is 80 years old this year and now represents 43 Synagogues, wants to accelerate its vision and introduce new initiatives to grow the membership
The Movement for Reform Judaism (MRJ) is to create a new role of Chief Executive to lead its strategic planning and ensure it is fully focusing on the future.
The movement, which is 80 years old this year and now represents 43 Synagogues, has decided a Chief Executive will help accelerate its vision and introduce new initiatives to grow the membership.
Paul Langsford, the acting co-chair of MRJ, said “We’re looking for an outstanding rabbinic or professional leader with the drive, personality, and skills to make a real difference. This is a special job for a very special person.”
The movement will be activating a nationwide search for the right person and will advertise the position shortly.
The new leader will be expected to share passionately Reform values and traditions and become the movement’s face and voice for all occasions.
