A new social enterprise platform is inviting football fans to support charitable causes through friendly competition during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

RivalRaise, which has been developed by Rob Taub and a group of former school friends, allows users to make charitable pledges linked to tournament outcomes while competing with friends, family and colleagues.

The platform is free for both charities and users and is designed to help organisations engage supporters during one of the world’s biggest sporting events.

Participants can predict the World Cup winner, select the tournament’s top goalscorer and back rival teams to be eliminated, with pledges tied to those outcomes.

Organisers stress that RivalRaise is not a gambling or betting platform and does not process or handle any money itself. Instead, users make personal pledges connected to causes they choose to support.

The initiative is open to charities, community organisations, schools and workplaces, with users able to create leagues and compete against one another throughout the tournament.

Taub, who is also executive director of Hadassah UK, said the platform had been created as a simple and accessible way to combine sporting competition with charitable giving.

Hadassah UK, which supports the work of the Hadassah Medical Organisation and its hospitals in Jerusalem, is among a number of charities already signed up to take part.

The platform is now inviting additional charities and community groups to register ahead of this summer’s World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
