Rocket fire forces venue change for Champions League tie
UEFA have confirmed Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Champions League qualifier next week has been switched from Israel to Andorra due to the ongoing rocket fire towards Tel Aviv,
Santa Coloma requested the home and away legs for the seconnd round qualifier should be switched due to the current situation in Israel, and European football’s governing body agreed to the request on Thursday.
The switcharound means the first leg of the tie will be contested in Andorra on Tuesday evening, with with the return leg in Israel a week later.
A decision is still to be made regarding Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Beersheba’s matches in the Europa League second qualifying round. Both are scheduled to host their first legs next week.
