Jami is the mental health service for the Jewish Community. Jami’s focus is on recovery; moving from lack of control and autonomy to becoming an active member of the Jami, Jewish and wider
community.
Jami’s education service, Head Room, contributes to our optimistic vision of enabling people to live empowered lives aided by the personal development and educational opportunities provided through
courses, events and seminars. Jami Head Room is an outward facing service engaging with the diverse Jewish community to provide learning and development to improve mental wellbeing and
help combat the stigma of mental illness. Jami Head Room works in schools to help build resilience in young people by giving them the information and skills to better manage their mental health and
emotional wellbeing.
At an exciting stage in the development of our Head Room education service we are looking for a dynamic individual to deliver a psychoeducational wellbeing programme to young people attending
JCoSS, a Jewish secondary school in New Barnet. The individual will develop an optimistic, strengths based education programme that aims to contribute to the building of resilience in the young people who engage with the project.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is a self-starter with a real enthusiasm and commitment to young people. As a member of the Jami Head Room education team you will also benefit from supervision and development opportunities, as well as working with other Jami colleagues.
To apply for any of these vacancies, please call Jami on 020 8458 2223 or email recruitment@jamiuk.org and ask for a job description and recruitment pack. Application by CV and covering letter. Applicants need to demonstrate in their covering letter how they meet the requirements of the job description and person specification.
Closing date for all applications is 23 July 2017
Interviews for Shortlisted candidates. Tuesday 8th August.
