Sela lands 20th career title win in China
Dudi Sela claimed his 20th title win on the ATP Challenger circuit on Sunday when he beat China’s Di Wu 6-4, 6-3 in the final of the Shenzhen Open.
The 30-year-old went into the tournament, ranked at number 84 in the world, though is set to rise 20 places when the revised list is announced on Monday, following his first win of the year.
Meanwhile, Ra’anana is this week hosting the Israel Open, a £90,000 event on the ATP men’s Challenger tour. Shlomo Glickstein, President of the Israel Tennis Association and former 22nd ranked player in the world, said: “It’s very important for Israel to host such competitions and we love to host large events. It attracts sponsors, media and role models for our young players.”
