Sick ‘October 7’ restaurant opens in Jordan
Shawarma joint condemned as glorification of Hamas' murder of 1,200 Israelis
A new restaurant in Jordan has named itself ‘October 7’ in an apparent reference to the atrocities committed on that day across Israel by Hamas terrorists.
In footage shared on Twitter/X by Dima Tahboub, a former MP and member of Jordan’s Muslim Brotherhood, customers can be seen milling outside the restaurant, in the southern Mazar district near the city of Kerak, south west of the country’s capital city Amman.
Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid said: “The disgraceful glorification of October 7th has to stop. The incitement and hatred against Israel breeds the terrorism and extremism which led to the brutal massacre of October 7th. We expect the Jordanian government to condemn this publicly and unequivocally.”
Amman recalled its ambassador to Israel in November 2023.
