Sir Cliff Richard visits Israeli Arab tennis school he helped to establish
Sir Cliff Richard took to the courts yesterday for a game of tennis at the Nazareth tennis school ahead of a concert in Tel Aviv. Over 100 Israeli Arab children taking part in the tennis program greeted the singer of “Summer Holiday” (and many other ubiquitous hits) who donated money to the foundation in 2005.
Sir Cliff praised the tennis program, saying: “Arab and Jewish children playing sport together with all that means in terms of healthy competition, confidence and camaraderie can only sow good seeds for the future.”
