Skittles sweets now kosher in UK, London Beth Din confirms
The confectionery manufacturer removed a food colouring made from beetles' blood
Skittles sweets have been confirmed as kosher by the London Beth Din.
The Kashrut division of the London Beth Din (KLBD) confirmed last Thursday that all current stocks of the confectionery around the UK are now kosher.
Skittles dropped E120 from the ingredients list – a food colouring made from beetles’ blood, previously used in red skittles.
A spokesperson for the KLBD said: “We are very excited to bring @Skittles back to the Jewish community.
“It means that wherever you are in the UK, you can now pick up a Kosher approved packet.”
