Strong winds in Eilat injure three and shatter hotel wall
Strong winds battered the Israeli resort of Eilat on Sunday, injuring three people and shattering a glass wall at the Royal Beach Hotel.
Three patients checked into the Yoseftal Medical Center with light injuries; one woman hurt by a falling tree, and two children hit by flying debris.
Chaos struck the resort as roads were blocked by falling trees, vehicles were wrecked and the wall of an amusement park collapsed. At the Isrotel Sport Club Hotel, palm trees fell on top of cars and into the pool.
Rosie Stain, who was staying in the Royal Beach hotel over Pesach, captured this dramatic video of the hotel’s glass wall shattering into the swimming pool on her smartphone.
