Prime Minister Rishi Sunak congratulated Benjamin Netanyahu on winning the Israeli election, saying he looks forward to “working with the returning Prime Minister.”

Sunak became the latest world leader to congratulate Netanyahu, with France’s Emmanuel Macron, Hungary’s Victor Orban, India’s Narendra Modi and Italy’s Georgia Meloni among the leaders preceding Sunak.

Orban went as far as posing with a picture of him next to Netanyahu’s newly published memoirs.

Observers in Israel have pointed out that Netanyahu is yet to receive a phone call from U.S. President Joe Biden, Israel’s most important ally.
