Sunday Masters review – week 13
The title race in Division Two is hotting up, as the leaders dropped points, while the chasing pack closed in at the top of the table, writes Jeremy Silverstone…
DIVISION ONE:
The one game in the Division saw HMH claim their second win of the season as two goals from Marc Ratzker saw them beat Faithfold 2-1, Shnayer Shapiro scored for the Greens.
DIVISION TWO:
Leaders Maccabi London Lions were held to a 1-1 draw by Brady B. Frank Steinberg put them ahead with a 40-yard shot, but Brady hit back through Lol Myers’ effort from the same distance out.
EDRS beat Temple Fortune 3-0 to close the gap on the Lions to a point, thanks to Ian Leader’s double and Marc Schneiderman’s strike.
Zigzag Marshside kept up their good form to edge past St John’s Tigers and stay within touching distance of the leaders. Faramarz Moghim opened the scoring for Marshside, but Tigers pulled level through Jonny Feinmesser’s deft chip. Sam Nourazi’s double gave Marshside a two-goal cushion, and although Adam Soller pulled one back for Tigers, the score finished 3-2.
