Sunday Masters review – week 16
In the latest round of Masters action, the Raiders extended their lead at the top of Division One, while there was an Essex derby played in Division Two, writes Jeremy Silverstone…
DIVISION ONE:
North London Raiders extended their lead at the top of the table with a convincing 5-0 win over Faithfold, thanks to Wayne Davidson’s double, along with strikes from Tony Plaskow, Dan Levy and Rob Cohen.
A hat-trick from Scott Warren wasn’t quite enough to secure a result for Brady A as they went down 4-3 in a thrilling game against Chigwell. Mark Conway’s brace, together with strikes from Steve Summers and Russell Yershon seeing the Essex men to the points..
Goals from Steven Gold and Paul Stein earned Scrabble Harmen a 2-2 draw with Waldaf Town.
DIVISION TWO:
Goals from Barry Silkman and Faramarz Moghim won the day for Marshside as they beat Glenthorne 2-1, with Sid Shaw replying for Glenthorne.
And at the bottom of the table, Temple Fortune and Brady B couldn’t be separated as goals from Dean Poster and Ian Sumray, and James Ryan and Phil Bloomberg respectively, earned their sides a share of the points in their 2-2 draw.
