Sunday Masters review – week 2
Division One champions Raiders kept up their 100 percent winning start to the season, while the reigning Division Two title holders Glenthorne got off to a winning start, writes Jeremy Silverstone…
DIVISION ONE:
Goals from Wayne Davidson, Dan Hodes, David Lederman and Gavin Hodes gave reigning title-holders North London Raiders their second win in two games, as they beat debutants HMH 4-1. Steven Gordon replied for HMH.
A last-minute penalty enabled Waldaf Town to upset the odds and record their first win of the season, with a 2-1 victory over Scrabble Harmen, who scored from Jonny Summerfield’s header.
DIVISION TWO:
Champions Glenthorne United kicked off their campaign with a 3-0 win over Temple Fortune thanks to a double from Gary Adams and Dave Michaels strike.
St John’s Wood Tigers and Hendon Harriers played out a 2-2 draw with Tigers’ goals coming from Jonny Feinmesser and Ilan Cohen, Marc Schneiderman and Darren Coon netted for Harriers.
