Sunday Masters review – week 22
There was victory for the Raiders in the Cup, a Division One League win for Faithfold, and a share of the spoils in the only Division Two match in Sunday’s Masters action, writes Jeremy Silverstone…
HENRY SWERNER LEAGUE CUP:
Goals from Danny Daggers and Andy Bloom either side of the interval proved enough to see North London Raiders through, at the expense of Maccabi London Lions.
DIVISION ONE:
The only fixture in the Division was edged by Faithfold, for whom strikes from Danny Myers and Andrew Souba scored to earn them a 2-1 win over title-chasing Waldaf Town, in what was just their second league win of the campaign.
DIVISION TWO:
EDRS and Hendon Harriers played out a 2-2 draw, with Hendon twice coming back after Mark Kingston had opened the scoring, and a Tony Platman penalty had restored their lead. Andy Diamond and Paul Rodin scored Harriers’ equalisers.
