EDRS booked their place in the final of the Nathan Horwitz Cup, while there were goals galore in the three Division One matches, writes Jeremy Silverstone…
NATHAN HORWITZ DIVISION TWO CUP:
London Maccabi Lions booked their place in the final as Michael Abraham’s goal was enough to see them beat EDRS 1-0.
DIVISION ONE:
Brady A and newly-crowned champions North London Raiders shared four goals as Adam Gishen and Josh Burns earned Brady a point after going behind to two first half goals from Raiders’ Andy Bloom and Richard Sacks.
After going 3-0 behind to Scrabble Harmen, Faithfold pulled it back to 5-5, only to concede two late goals in a 7-5 thriller. Paul Stein and Andrew Binstock scored twice each for Scrabble, with Steven Moss, Serge Cowan and Paul Doctors also on target. Ben Lewis scored a hat-trick for Faithfold, Danny Myers claiming their other two.
Top scorers on the day were Chigwell, who thanks in no small part to five goals from Steve Summers, beat Waldaf 9-3. Mark Conway scored twice, with Daniel Castle and Glenn Davis also on target.
