Waldaf Town won the last Masters League game of the season, while Chigwell booked their place in the final of the Masters/MSL invitational Cup, writes Jeremy Silverstone

The last game of the Masters season saw Mike Lax’s goal earn Waldaf Town a 1-0 win over Scrabble Harmen. Despite some heroics from Scrabble Harmen’s stand-in goalkeeper Paul Gelernter, Waldaf took the points which saw them pip HMH for third place, with just five points separating all but the top and bottom teams.

MASTERS/MGBSFL INVITATIONAL CUP SEMI-FINAL:
CHIGWELL ATHLETIC 1 SPEC 1 (CHIGWELL WON 5-4 ON PENS)
Chigwell booked their place in the final of the competition, as they beat SPEC on penalties.

MASTERS/MGBSFL INVITATIONAL CUP QUARTER-FINAL:
NORTH LONDON RAIDERS MASTERS 1 FAITHFOLD B 1 (RAIDERS WON 5-4 ON PENS)
The Raiders booked their place in the last four of the competition – where they will face Faithfold’s masters side, as they too converted all their spot kicks to defeat the MGBSFL side.
