Swab to save a life at the Sternberg Centre

If you’re 16-55, come along to get tested on National Super Swabbing Sunday, 26 April

Volunteers are invited to a swabbing clinic this Sunday (26 April) at the Sternberg Centre in north London to help a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who desperately needs a stem cell transplant.

Daphne has a rare blood cancer and the only chance of saving her life is to receive stem cells from someone with a matching tissue type, which if you are Jewish, like Daphne, is far more likely to be from someone who is also Jewish.

Her children have been tested. Her brother has been tested. Over 43 million people have been searched, but no match has yet been found.

The simple procedure involves brushing the inside of your mouth with a cotton bud-like swab.

Organised in partnership with the Sue Harris Trust and DKMS UK (Delete Blood Cancer), volunteers are welcomed from 10am until 1pm.

For security reasons, you must bring ID (such as a driving licence or passport).
