Swastika daubed on Jewish Tory candidate’s election poster
A swastika was daubed on an election poster for the Jewish Conservative parliamentary candidate for Hampstead and Kilburn.
Simon Marcus’s poster in Queen’s Park was defaced with the infamous Nazi emblem, genitalia and devil horns. Other scrawls included what appears to be a Hitler haircut.
Conservative agent David Douglas, told Ham and High: “I’ve never actually seen an anti-Semitic daubing and the last place I expected to see any was in Hampstead and Kilburn at the general election, especially in a place like Queen’s Park which prides itself on being BBC-leaning and so liberal.
“It’s completely out of character with the area and disturbing.”
