Synchronised swimmers fail to reach final
Israeli pair finish Duets Free & technical routine in 20th place.
Anastasia Gloushkov and Evgenia Tetelbaum have failed to qualify for the final of the Duets event in the synchronised swimming.
The pair finished their first exercise in the pool, on Sunday, in the Duets Free Routine – Preliminary, in 21st place, registering 78.900 points.
Returning to the pool on Monday afternoon, for the technical routine, they scored 23.3000 in the execution, 24.500 in the impression and 31.6488 in the elements, for a combined total of 79.4488, which coupled with Sunday’s score, saw them finish on 158.3488.
The top 12 countries – from the 24 participants – qualified for the final. Gloushkov was competing in her fourth Olympiad, though Tetelbaum, who moved to Israel from Ukraine in 2009, was taking part in her first.
