A solid defensive performance together with bright fast attacking was the key to the victory. A brilliant finish by Dani Rubinstein got HIS Blue off to a great start, and after he latched on to a superb ball from Raphael Maurer later in the half, the blues went in at half-time with a precious 2-0 lead.
The second half was a tight affair with His Blue hitting the woodwork twice and when Max Cutner scored a fantastic long-range effort for Alyth with seven minutes to go – it set up a nervy finish.
But HIS held on leading to delight at the final whistle, with the two teams set to do it all again this Sunday when they meet in the cup semi-final.
