Team GB off to disappointing start
Team GB’s Maccabiah team got their games off to a losing start as Wednesday saw the first ever rugby 7’s competition take place.
The open and junior teams both failed to progress from the group stages, which were held at the Wingate Institute.
The open team were beaten 21-0 by Israel, 12-0 by South Africa, and 35-0 by USA, while the juniors lost 19-7 to South Africa, and 22-12 to Israel.
While falling short in this competition, both sides are though competing in the full rugby competition.
